Unfortunately, the title of this post is a reflection of where I am. Partly because I have had a busy 6 month schedule and have not adequately replenished myself along the way. I am taking Isaiah 44:1-5 to heart and especially verse 3, "For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants." Only I need God's Spirit poured out over my body!
I have recognized in myself that the busier I am the less I depend on His Spirit and that must change. I will be spending more time listening rather than doing. I am also challenging myself to begin reading the gospels with fresh eyes and without any pretenses. I have been in the ministry, in various roles, for 15 years. I am guilty of reading scripture through other people's lenses. I am going to make every attempt to remove those lenses and read the gospels as if it was the first time. I will post my discoveries here.

New Beginnings for an old blog...
From 2004 to 2006 I wrote a blog entitled Blogvotional. I was as transparent as I could possibly be in a public forum. One of the great missing pieces in our churches today is the lack of transparency, openness, and vulnerability. I believe that I am at a point in my life where I need this type of outlet once again. I am starting a new blog since I cannot remember my log-in information for the old one. I am not sure how often I will post. My goal is 3-4 times per month, maybe more since I also write another blog at Lead2Serve.com.
I will continue to write from my leadership blog, but I have decided to start this new blog since the nature and topics of these blogs are completely different. My goal is to be as transparent as I possibly can with my thoughts and feelings on all things, specifically my faith and belief in God.
